CDC: Do Not Eat Romaine Lettuce From Here!
Missa Bay has recalled 97,272 pounds of salad kits and bowls shipped to 22 states and sold in stores. Aldi, Giant Eagle, and Sam’s Club are just a few of the retailers that received these products. The romaine lettuce tested was found to be contaminated with E. coli. This recall includes all types of romaine lettuce harvested from Salinas, California. These items are a part of this recall. Whole heads of romaine, hearts of romaine, and packages of precut lettuce and salad mixes that contain romaine, including baby romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad.
Information on how to Identify:
- If this Romaine product states “Salinas” do not consume. Throw this product away.
- The package does not have a label. Throw this product away.
- If you are uncertain if this product is Romaine throw it away.
- Sanitize your refrigerator where you stored the Romaine lettuce.
