EASY FREEBIE! More Free Stickers by Mail!
If you’re recently heard more about ‘wet markets’ than you ever wanted to know, then you can help spread the word with this freebie! Because wet markets in other countries actually sell live animals – ones we think of as pets – to be eaten.
Not only do wet markets foster an environment to spread diseases, such as Coronavirus aka COVID-19. But, they’re also disturbing to say the least! Especially to someone who loves her three dogs like her children. I know I’m not alone here!
What’s this about?
PETA works directly with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students, empowering them to advocate animal rights and spread awareness to folks in their community—whether it’s at middle school, high school, college, a student-led AAPI club, or elsewhere. Ending speciesism is the goal, so our dedicated team wants to support you by helping you promote a vegan and cruelty-free lifestyle at your school, in your home, to members of your sports teams, in your social circles, at church, or anywhere else you might have roots.
One major plus of doing animal rights outreach in AAPI communities is that the concept of sparing animals probably won’t be totally foreign to the fam—the awesome thing about Asian cuisine is that a lot of it’s already vegan. Think fried noodles, glass noodles, spring rolls, peanut sauce, mango sticky rice, seaweed salad, and miso soup. And plenty of other Asian dishes, like curries, pad Thai, ramen, and pho, are super-easy to veganize.
