Free Entrance Days at National Parks – National Public Lands Day
Good news. Some National Parks have reopened, but do have specific guidelines and rules for keeping you and your family safe during your visit.

Celebrate the National Park Service’s birthday as entrance fees are waived on August 25! Find a park near you or explore in-park and virtual events hosted by parks across the country. Come experience the national parks! On five days in 2020, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2020
- August 25: National Park Service Birthday
- September 26: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
