March is #SUDCAwareness month in at least 41 states. This year, The SUDC Foundation is hoping all 50 states will be on board to promote awareness on the horrible disease known as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). It is the unexplained death after thorough investigation of a child age 1-18.
In 2020, the 41 U.S. states that proclaimed March as SUDC Awareness Month included:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
The SUDC Foundation is the only organization that promotes research an advocates for constant research of the disease and also provides support by loved ones affected by this tragic disease. The foundation wants others to get involved. So, they are offering a free informational kid with everything you need to know to get started.
