What is a class action lawsuit settlement?

What’s this settlement about?
Plaintiff alleges that this product claims to contain a keratin formula intended to smooth hair, add softness and shine, and prevent frizzing and tangling; and that the Products “deeply nourish,” “gently cleanse,” and “repair hair”, but actually it causes hair loss and/or scalp irritation.Furthermore, they allege that it contains formaldehyde, a known carcinogen (causes cancer).
This lawsuit is not settled. Unilever has not been found at fault, and has admitted no wrongdoing.

Who is eligible for a refund?
If the lawsuit settles, then those who purchased the specified product in the time frame given could be eligible for compensation.

It is not yet known if receipts will be required.
Should I be worried about this product?
Possibly. If this shampoo is found to contain dangerous carcinogens, then it may be necessary to discontinue use. However, at this time no settlement has been reached and no determination of fault has been reached.
