Microsoft Permanently Closing ALL of its Stores!
Microsoft announced that it will permanently close all of its 83 stores. However, it isn’t clear whether Microsoft’s stores will reopen before shuttering for good.
Additionally, Microsoft says it will “reimagine spaces that serve all customers,” which includes turning brick-and-mortar stores in London, New York City, Sydney and Redmond into “experience centers.”
They have not yet said whether they will have liquidation sales at the closed locations.
Is Microsoft Going Out of Business?
“Our sales have grown online as our product portfolio has evolved to largely digital offerings, and our talented team has proven success serving customers beyond any physical location,” David Porter, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President, said in a statement. “We are grateful to our Microsoft Store customers and we look forward to continuing to serve them online and with our retail sales team at Microsoft corporate locations.”
