Name a Cockroach After Your Ex! Quit Bugging Me Free Event at El Paso Zoo
It’s back again for this year! El Paso Zoo has the Quit Bugging Me event on Feb 13-14th. What you need to do is submit the name of whoever’s been “bugging” you, such as an ex, a boss, or whoever has been problem dealing with – and they will name a roach after them in your honor. You can submit a name up to February 12 for this event.
The massively viral promotion, QUIT BUGGING ME, is back at the El Paso Zoo! This year we are once again spreading the love throughout the zoo and featuring animals from our different areas such as iguanas, skinks, and of course, our meerkat mob as they chomp down on these juicy bugs.
Feedings will be posted Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb 13-14th. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, at The El Paso Zoo, for more details!
Madagascar hissing cockroaches are ethically frozen and given to insectivores as determined by our zoo veterinarian staff. Insects are a normal part of these animals’ diets, in captivity or the wild. While in our care, we try to replicate this as much as possible.
There is no fee to submit a name. All names submitted will be displayed anonymously. They will only display first names.
