Recall! 5.7 Million Kids Water Bottles Due to Choking Hazard
For a second time, Contigo has recalled a massive amount of water bottles. Check your water bottles! Contigo has announced a recall on their Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles.
The recall is due to the water bottle’s clear silicone spout that could detach, posing a choking hazard to children.
This recall only involves Contigo® Kids Cleanable Water Bottle sold from April 2018 through February 7, 2020.
The water bottles come in three sizes (13-ounce, 14-ounce and 20-ounce) and multiple colors, materials and graphics. The bottles were sold individually as well as in two-packs and three-packs.
The recalled Contigo® Kids product – the Cleanable line has the following visual features:
- Spout cover is always BLACK
- The base of the spout is always BLACK
If your child water bottle has the black spout base and the black spout cover, you can get a replacement, free of charge.
If your bottle does not have the visual features listed in the picture, it is not part of the recall and you can continue using the water bottle.
