Reser’s Chicken Salad Recalled Due to Listeria Concerns

Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. has issued a recall of a limited number of Chicken Salad items due to the ingredient recall by Tip Top Poultry, Inc. for possible Listeria monocytogenes. The Reser’s Chicken Salad Product that comes in a 12 oz container and has the “Use By 09/30/2019 to 10/31/2019”. Only this item sold by Reser’s is recalled.
Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and still births among pregnant women.
