WHEN Will Next Stimulus Check Get to You?
As you’ve probably heard, the U.S. government is working on a plan to send a second economic stimulus check to Americans who qualify during the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic. Similar to the first stimulus check, eligible people will get their money either direct deposited or by mail.
People who won’t get a stimulus check include high-earners, immigrants and more. But, people who were recently divorced or who share custody of children need to take note that they may have a tough time getting their money. Because stimulus checks which are direct deposited will go to the same account used to file taxes.
According to CNet, if Congress agrees on terms this week we could see a check as soon as the week of August 24.
If not approved this week, Congress goes on a month-long recess which would delay the agreement at least a month.
